How To Wear a Garter Belt

Expand the description and view the text of the steps for this how-to video. Check out Howcast for other do-it-yourself videos from Dynamic and more videos in the Underwear category. You can contribute too! Create your own DIY guide at www.howcast.com or produce your own Howcast spots with the Howcast Filmmakers Program at www.howcast.com Put some sizzle in your sex life — or just feel more sensual — by donning a good old-fashioned garter belt. To complete this How-To you will need: A garter belt Stockings A mild detergent Matching panties Step 1: Pick a fabric Think about what kind of fabric you want — garter belts come in satin, lace, fishnet, mesh, leather, and vinyl. Step 2: Decide on straps Decide how many straps you need, usually between four and 12. Four are fine if your garter's main role will be as a sexy bedtime accessory, but you'll want more support if you plan to wear the belt for longer. Tip: For a slimming effect, choose a garter belt with a hidden control panel. Step 3: Spring for metal clips Pick a garter belt with metal clips, as opposed to plastic ones. You'll pay more, but you'll reduce the chances of the clips popping open. And make sure the straps are adjustable. Step 4: Get a good fit See that the garter belt sits securely on your waist, but is not tight. Step 5: Wear quality stockings Wear stockings that are designed to be worn with a garter belt. You'll be able to identify them by the thicker, darker band at the top, known as the welt. Tip ...

Redemption (bedwetting and consequences) - Part 2

Part 1 has been disabled by youtube for absolutely no reason, and that was after they took the sound out. I think you can manage to find the whole movie online if you google "redemption bedwetting movie", or try one of the names at the end of the show. The story line is a little girl accidently hits her dad in the head with a ball while they are in the car driving and he dies in the accident. The mom blames the daughter for his death. Meanwhile the girl is bedwetting from the guilt and loss of her father. The mom takes the loss of her husband and the now wetting out on the daughter by abusing her and putting her in diapers, making her use a pacifier and drink from a bottle under the sence that since she is wetting her bed like a baby she is going to be treated like one. During the movie they jump from the past to the present to show what the effects of the abuse and humiliation had on her. It really makes you think about what you do and say to a child, what the effect will be on them years in the future.

[FullHD]2005 Girls' Pull-Ups with Wetness Liner (Part 1)

Series Info: - Diapers From 12 Angles - Season 1 "Episode 1" - 2D Version Girls' Huggies Pull-Ups with Wetness Liner slideshow in 2D. Talk about a blast from the past! These Huggies Pull-Ups with Wetness Liner are from 2005, and I was lucky enough to find them last year in a small store that doesn't see many customers. Much like today's Pull-Ups, these feature a "Disney Princesses for Girls" design, but unlike today's Pull-Ups, these are purple rather than pink. Like the Goodnites in the "pilot" episode, I highly doubt you'll still be able to find these on shelves anymore. I really got lucky when I stumbled across these, and I honestly wasn't expecting to find them when I did. Please note: This is a slideshow, as such it lacks sound and should be considered a "silent film," however if you have a suggestion for an Audioswap background, I'm more than willing to listen. 10 Tips on How to Help Elderly Parents Accept Help

One of the biggest challenges baby boomers face; Mom and Dad are becoming frail and can no longer live safely on their own. They tell you that they are not going to move. Now what can you do?

It is very difficult for aging seniors to face the fact they are unable to maintain living independently at home. This can be frustrating to adult children who are worried about their parents or other elderly relative's safety and well being. Adult children often have to start providing more and more assistance as their parents or elderly relatives become increasingly frail. This causes problems for working caregivers as well as for their employers. Problems of unexpected absenteeism, workday interruptions, supervision cost, unpaid leave, reduction of hours affect employees as well as the employers of "Boomers". According to an extensive study by MetLife, reported in 2004, adult child caregivers cost employers an estimated $2110-$2441 per employee.

In addition, whatever plans established for elder-care can quickly unravel with a change in health status or unexpected absence of a paid caregiver. For example, Janet and her brother were both sharing the responsibility of their elderly mother and suddenly both had to be out of town during the same week. "Within two days we had to find other arrangements for Mom." "It was an overwhelming nightmare." "The worst part was my brother and I ended up in a huge argument."

10 Tips on How to Approach this Topic with Your Mom or Dad:

1. First assess what your parent's needs are. Are they able to maintain interior/exterior care of their home? Are they eating nutritious meals? Are they still able to drive? Are they occasionally isolated and lonely? Do they uphold their own agreements?

2. Plan ahead and start early with discussions of options. Mom is more open to a discussion if you say "In the future if you ever need more help would you want to move to an independent retirement community or would you prefer to get help at home?" If you already have a few options in mind if and/or when a crisis occurs you and your parent are not only more prepared but the parent will be more accepting of the change.

3. Couples can often manage in their own home longer than singles. Often they help each other out. One may still be driving or able to still handle the financial affairs. The average age for needing some help is eighty-three. Options range from getting help in the home to independent or assisted living communities.

4. Mobilize during a crisis. If they end up in the emergency room or with a hospital stay use the momentum of the situation to help your elderly parent see that it is time for a change.

5. Don't give up. If during your first discussion mom and dad don't want to talk about this tell them you still want to talk about it. Ask them to think about it and bring it up again and again until you can flush out major objections to the change. Janet said, "I listened to my mom's concerns about moving because the monthly cost. Once I knew this we sat down and focused on her financial situation. We found with all the amenities it was going to be about the same cost as staying at home with live in help."

6. Be honest about your feelings, capacity to help and your own concerns. Be respectful and caring as you discuss how your own children need your time and attention. Be open about what help you can provide and what help you cannot. Be understanding but firm when presenting your concerns.

7. Start touring independent living communities. No one will ever want to move if they don't see it first. It can really reduce resistance once they see how nice come of the senior living places are. If you are short on time adult children should look at several and pick out two or three that mom and dad might like best. Then take your parents to see them. It is easy to bridge into a conversation on which community they like best.

8. Communicate to them how you can help with all aspects of the move. The whole idea and the process of moving is overwhelming. They know it is beyond their current capacity to facilitate on their own. Senior move managers such as Paxem,Inc. help adult children and seniors from start to finish with the entire moving project.

9. Focus on keeping positive with your siblings or other involved family members. This can be difficult as you may feel like not everyone is doing his or her share of involvement. Hopefully you are doing what you are doing because you want to help your parent. Not everyone will be involved at the same level and you may need to accept that, ask for specific help at times or hire out for certain services.

10. Remember they are still your parents are not children. As adults, they do not like being "told" what to do or facing change. As long as they have the cognitive skills, it remains up to them and is their decision. In summary, remain positive and be persistent as in negotiating any challenge. Your parents need to be able to maintain their dignity while accepting their newly acquired limitations. It is a difficult but important skill to manage for both of you.

Bed Wetting Boys? 3 Easy Tips to Stop Bedwetting Forever

Do you have bed wetting boys who can't seem to shake this frustrating habit once and for all? If you answered yes to that question, read on. In this brief article, I'll be revealing 3 simple steps that you can begin using today to fix your little boys bedwetting problem forever.

The first thing that you need to do is always remember to stay calm and supportive of your little boy. Wetting the bed can be extremely embarrassing for children and they need your love and support in order to make it through this challenging time. Always let your child know that it's OK to come to you when they have an accident, and focus on rewarding their dry nights rather than getting angry when they wake up to wet bed sheets.

Another thing that you can do is develop a consistent bedtime routine, such as the one I lay out in my book. Children love structure (whether they admit it or not), and a consistent schedule will help your little boy overcome his bedwetting problem much easier.

Last but not least, it's important to monitor your child's drinking habits. Are they taking in too many fluids late in the day or prior to bedtime? If so, make sure that you quickly nip that bad habit in the bud. Also, be sure to remind your child to "empty out" right before tucking them in for the night.

Hopefully this brief article has given you some helpful tips that you can use with your bed wetting boys. While there is much for you to learn on this topic, this should prove to be a good start.

The Dangers of Sun Bathing

The people of the US seldom seem too worried about the sun. In fact, people go out of their way sometimes to get a perfect tan. If they can't get it from the outdoors, then they go to tanning salons. People generally think that being tan means being beautiful.

Yes I guess tan people can be quite attractive and lovely. But premature wrinkles on people are not so attractive. Nor are sun spots or skin cancer. But the threat of premature aging, cataracts, and skin cancer don't seem to deter people from wanting to get that perfect tan.

A better way to enjoy the outdoors is with sun protection hats. They can also be quite attractive. Also a good looking pair of polarized sunglasses. People who wear those can be beautiful and smart at the same time.

If you ever visit a tropical country, notice the way the natives dress. They wear sunglasses and sun protection hats, carry parasols, and use sunscreen. Women generally avoid the sun, because they are very aware of the dangers of too much exposure.

Generally speaking, the native women of tropical nations care more about looking young than being tanned. That is to say, they are quite sensible when it comes to the sun.

So before summer comes around and you get into the sun bathing routine, please do some research on the harmful effects of the sun's UV rays, Read some articles about skin cancer and wrinkles. Also look into the various sun protection hats and sunglasses available.

And please don't forget the sunscreen, to protect yourself from both UVA and UVB rays. Above all, have a great and safe summer!

Stretch Marks: Prevention and Treatment During Pregnancy

More than half of all pregnant women will develop stretch marks during their pregnancy. Otherwise known as striae gravidarum, stretch marks look like streaks on the surface of the skin, and may be vary in color depending on your natural skin color. Most lighter skinned women develop pinkish stretch marks, whereas darker skinned women tend to have stretch marks that are lighter than the surrounding skin.

Most women develop stretch marks on their abdomen during pregnancy, however it is also common to get stretch marks on the buttocks, hips, breasts and thighs. In some cases up to 90 percent of women have stretch marks on some part of their body as a result of pregnancy.

What Causes Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks form when your skin is stretched rapidly as happens during pregnancy. Most women develop stretch marks during the later trimesters of pregnancy though some women start to develop them as soon as their bellies start growing.

Stretch marks are actually small tears that form in the tissue that supports the skin and helps it stretch. Stretch marks represent the tearing or separation of collagen from the skin when tearing occurs. Stretch marks are not harmful or painful and usually fade over time.

Who Gets Stretch Marks?

Many women believe that using lotions and creams help prevent stretch marks. Realistically speaking however, the number of stretch marks you get depends on how elastic your skin is. The elasticity of your skin usually relates to your genetic make up. The best thing you can do is find out if your mother got bad stretch marks during pregnancy. If she did, you are probably more prone to stretch marks than other women.

Keep in mind the more weight you gain during pregnancy the more likely you are to have stretch marks. Normally the skin is elastic and capable of stretching quite a bit, however for some women the changes that occur during pregnancy are very drastic. These rapid fluctuations of weight and skin stretching can result in stretch marks.

Women with multiples are more likely to get stretch marks because their bellies usually grow much larger than women with single pregnancies. Other women likely to develop stretch marks include women who gain a lot of weight quickly during their pregnancy and women who carry big babies.

Here are some other factors that may contribute to your susceptibility to stretch marks:

* If you developed stretch marks before (like on your breasts during puberty) you are more likely to get stretch marks while pregnant.

* If you had stretch marks during another pregnancy you will usually get them again.

* If you are overweight or gain more weight than recommended you are more likely to get stretch marks.

* The better hydrated and well nourished you are the less likely you are to develop serious stretch marks.

Stretch Mark Prevention

Most women believe that they can prevent stretch marks by using creams and lotions. There are many formulations on the market today that claim to help prevent stretch marks. Some of these may help moisturize your skin and reduce itching. They may help reduce some stretch marks however there are no scientific studies that support this.

You probably know at least one parent however that swears by cocoa butter or some other formulation to prevent stretch marks. If nothing else rubbing these creams into your belly provides your unborn baby with a light and comforting massage. They may also give you peace of mind knowing you did everything possible to prevent stretch marks.

The best thing you can do to minimize stretch marks aside from using any creams or moisturizers you select is gaining the recommended amount of weight during pregnancy. Doctors recommend most women gain between 25 and 34 pounds. Gaining much more than this can cause you to develop more stretch marks.

Removing Stretch Marks

Most women worry about stretch marks after they have their baby. Fortunately most stretch marks do fade with time. Usually after 12 moths postpartum most stretch marks are light and less noticeable. Their texture may remain different from the surrounding skin however. Many women notice their stretch marks fading into whitish lines that are minimally noticeable.

Some women have very severe stretch marks that impact their self esteem after pregnancy. There are many treatments available for women that want to improve the appearance of their stretch marks.

If your stretch marks are particularly bad, you may consult with your doctor or a dermatologist. Some topical treatments such as tretinoin cream can help reduce stretch marks. These creams must be used after pregnancy however, because they can cause defects in your unborn baby.

Most of the topical treatments available should be used shortly after delivery, before they start to fade. The more time that passes between the delivery and use of cream, the less likely they are to be effective.

If you are breastfeeding it is important you consult with your doctor before using any stretch mark treatments. Some treatments may impact your milk supply or pass through the breast milk to your baby.

Most of the creams available to reduce stretch marks do not help relieve the sagging skin that also accompanies childbirth. There are some newer treatments including laser treatments however that may improve the skins elasticity and help reduce stretch marks. Some women also consider plastic surgery after they are done having children. A tummy tuck can help hide some stretch marks and reduce sagging skin.

Most women are able to joyfully overlook stretch marks when they consider the miracle of life they bring into the world. For the most the small annoyance even the worst stretch marks bring are well worth the joys of bringing a newborn baby into the world. Do what you can during pregnancy to maintain an appropriate weight and try not to worry too much about stretch marks. Many women wear them with pride, a 'war wound' or "badge of honor" related to their pregnancy. Why not wear them with pride?

Things You Need To Buy For Your Baby Before You Give Birth

Going through pregnancy there is normally less than 9 months to prepare yourself and your home for the new addition to your family. There are a number of things that you should buy in advance which are either necessary or could just make your life easier when you return home after birth.

Items To Buy

1. Somewhere for the baby to sleep.

This could be a cot, carrycot or crib. A lightweight and portable bed is often seen as best during the first few weeks as your baby will be sleeping a lot and it will help if you can move the sleeping place from room to room. You will normally need to buy a cot by around 6 months depending on how quickly your baby grows.

2. A Pram.

A pram or pushchair is one of the most expensive purchases in the first year. Full size traditional prams are very hard wearing and warm and comfortable. They are usually at the more expensive end of the range but seem to keep their value well when sold on. Many parents opt for a pram in 2 parts; a fold down frame and a top which can be used as a carrycot with handles. Things to bear in mind with this are that escalators can be difficult as well as travel on buses. You need to decide how you will be travelling, where your destinations will be and then choose the systems that suit you best.

3. Car Seat

If travelling by car you should always use a car seat and follow the manufacturer's instructions for fitting. The car seat should be the correct type of seat for the stage of your baby. This is one item that you should definitely buy new as you won't know if a second-hand seat has been damaged. Learn how to fit and use your car seat properly.

4. Clothing

Most first time parents go a little overboard when buying for their first child. Buy what you need as a minimum and spend the money on clothing for a slightly older age when your baby is born. Here's what you need:

2 shawls or wraps

4 vests

4 stretch suits

2 cardigans

1 snowsuit or similar

3 pairs of socks (unless all clothing has feet)

1 pair of mittens

1 hat

5. Changing Equipment

There's a lot of debate at the moment as to the choice of disposable or terry nappies/diapers. The choice is yours but most people opt for disposable nappies/diapers. New babies will get through at least 6 nappies/diapers a day so stock up!

Nappies/Diapers

Baby lotion/cotton wool balls or baby wipes

- Normal advice is to use water and cotton wool initially and then use olive oil as a moisturiser on a newborn baby

Barrier cream

6. Feeding Equipment

If you are going to breastfeed then make sure that you know what you need to know - see the bottom of this article for a free breastfeeding guide.

For bottle feeding you will need:

Bottles (I would recommend 6)

A sterilizing kit

Formula milk

Burping towels

Bibs

7. Baby chair/Bouncer

Choose one that supports the baby's head if you plan to use this from birth. Your baby will love to see what's going on but you shouldn't put the chair or bouncer on a raised surface. The arrival of your first child is a magical time and preparation for this special time can lead you to 'spoil' your child before it is born by buying loads of clothing and equipment. Your baby will grow out of its' clothing after 3-4 months and it won't really ever get the clothes that dirty.

You can save a lot of money by using second hand clothing and equipment and if you are on a budget or are just conscious watching what you spend you can certainly go down this route with confidence. If buying equipment stay away from really old equipment and check for any signs of damage. Operate any moving parts and ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose. As stated, always buy a new car seat.

Good luck with the birth and your new arrival.

What To Wear - Defining The Holiday Party Dress Code

With the holidays rapidly approaching, many are searching for the perfect attire for seasonal parties. Making sure one is function appropriate often proves more difficult than finding a fabulous ensemble. The following definitions cover most of the party attire requirements seen during the holidays and guarantee you'll look fab and function appropriate in whatever you chose.

Cocktail attire is a consistent party theme throughout the holidays. It's name is derived quite aptly from the concept of people gathering prior to a formal dinner or event for cocktails. Appropriate attire consists of dresses, ranging from mid-thigh to one inch below the knee. Tailored pants suits are also appropriate, however consider avoiding a business standby, instead add accents in a vibrant color, chose a fitted cut or incorporate a suit created from a unique textile. Silk, Chatung, Brocade, Polyester, Cashmere, Rayon, Velour, Velvet and Velveteen are all appropriate cocktail fabrics and embellishments with beading and sequins are also appropriate.

Every so often, you will find yourself being asked to wear semi formal attire to such events as weddings and award ceremonies. This form of attire gets the most attention, but often because of its universal use. Many associate other forms of dress such as cocktail attire, with semi-formal. However, Semi-formal attire is much more formal than cocktail attire. Pants suits may be worn if refined in construction and dresses ranging from an inch above the knee to two inches above the ankle are appropriate. Taffeta, Chiffon, Silk, Satin, Sateen, Gossamer, Brocade, Rayon, Velour, Velvet, Velveteen are all appropriate semi-formal fabric choices.

Occasionally business formal dress requirements are seen, often in work related or political functions. Business formal is the same as semi formal, however women should chose more tailored dresses or pants suits. Slinky, sexy or revealing attire is generally best suited for a NON-business formal affair.

Black tie, or formal attire requires cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates. Pants suits or dress suits are rarely appropriate for formal wear. Dresses rage from knee length to ankle and may vary from a straight sheath to a full skirt and fitted bodice. Sequin and beaded embellishment is appropriate and the fabrics Taffeta, Chiffon, Silk, Satin, Sateen, Gossamer, Brocade, Rayon, Velour, Velvet, Velveteen are all considered the textile norm. Colors vary seasonally, with black remaining a consistent standby favorite.

Following the above guide to the holiday season party circuit is sure to assist you in looking fabulous, and function appropriate. If, or when in doubt, the stylist services at Velvet Siren are happy to provide attire suggestions. Happy Holidays and enjoy!

What To Take To The Hospital When Having A Baby

The last thing you want to worry about when you go into labor, is trying to figure out what items you need to put in your hospital bag and trying to hunt them down before dashing to the hospital. Ideally you should have your hospital bag packed and waiting by the door by at least 2 weeks before your due date. That way, when the time is right, you can grab your bag and go without any last minute delays or worries.

It is useful to have 2 bags for yourself: one for labor and one for your hospital stay afterwards including your baby item essentials. It is also helpful to have your labor partner pack a bag in advance for themselves and some helpful labor items.

Labor Bag for you:

- Your Birth Plan, if you have one.

- Maternity Bathrobe. This is particularly useful for early stages of labor as you may need to walk around the hospital to progress labor. After the baby you will also need some sort of cover up to a nightgown, particularly if it's the hospital excuse for a nightgown, when you need to walk the corridors.
- Slippers and socks
- A clean nursing top or front-opening nursing nightgown if you prefer to bring your own
- Drinks and snacks and breath mints
- A straw, which will make sipping liquids easier.
- Toiletries (hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, facial cream)
- Lip moisturizer
- Massage oils or lotions
- Eyeglasses (if needed)
- Cell phone and list of important numbers
- Magazines, music, word puzzles. Fun light reading to pass the time. Don't bring heavy involved reading or work from the office! You are looking for fun and mindless distraction to pass the time. Remember, you will be productive enough in a few hours to make up for any unproductive activities during your labor waiting period!
- Maternity pads (nighttime sanitary pads), and spare maternity underwear.
- Nursing bras. If you plan to wear a bra during labor, it is helpful to have a nursing bra on already if you plan to nurse your baby. Usually you will be allowed to nurse right away after birth. Make sure you wear a very comfortable fitting nursing bra, not one with underwires.

For Labor Partner:
Watch with a second hand to time contractions
- Camera/video camera if you want it and film/tape if needed
- Snacks, reading material
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste..)
- Change of clothes, particularly if they will be staying with you at the hospital for several days after the baby.
- Cell phone/phone card
- List of important numbers
- Dollar Bills for vending machine
- Water Spray/Mister for gentle cool-downs during labor.
- Tennis balls for back massage

Hospital Bag for your Postpartum Use:
Front opening nursing nightie
- Comfy clothes to wear for leaving the hospital. Remember you are not going to be able to wear non-maternity clothes a few days after having your baby! So bring comfortable maternity clothing or transitional clothing. Also, if you have a C-section, the last thing you will want is any pressure on your tummy. A comfortable cotton elastic waistband that fits below the belly or that is designed to fold down bellow the belly for comfort is best.
- Easy fitting footwear
- Change of underwear and maternity pads for heavy bleeding after birth
- Nursing Bras (at least 2). Make sure these are easy fitting nursing bras that do not have underwire. Wear a nursing bra with plenty of room and stretch as you breasts may increase up to a cup in size when you milk comes in.
- Personal music player and headphones
- Magazines and easy reading material. You will be too tired for any heavy reading!

Hospital Bag for Baby:

Last but certainly not least you will want to pack a few things for the new baby:

-Properly installed infant car seat. This is a must if you want to take your baby home with you! Make sure you have your car seat professionally installed several weeks before you go to the hospital. Any fire station can install your car seat for you. An alarming number of car seats are not properly installed by parents.
- Newborn diapers
- Infant hat
- Receiving blankets
- Newborn sleeper or outfits
- Socks/booties

If you have all of these essentials ready to go in advance, you can have peace of mind that you are well prepared when the time comes to have your baby!

Mom Arrested for Abandoning 2 Young Girls on the Street

BROOKLYN — Friends, relatives and neighbors were horrified after a mother abandoned her two little girls in the midst of a Canarsie housing project has the neighborhood. Wearing parkas and Ugg boots and each clutching a fistful of diapers, family members say 26-year-old Dalisha Adams left them as an angry message for their father. Bertha Davia, the little girls' grandmother, spoke to PIX11 at the same corner where the girls were abandoned. "It's making my heart have pain," she wailed as she recounted how police came knocking at her door late Sunday night to say 4-year-old Diani and 3 year old Dominae had been ditched by their mother and were taken into protective custody. Bertha Davia is now heartbroken, desperately trying to get her two beautiful granddaughters back. They are the children of her son Shawn Cobbs, 27. The family believes the couple had a fight and that mother Dalisha Adams, 26, left the girls as an angry message to their father, who has a son with another woman. "I don't know why she do this to me. She knew it would hurt me," said Davia, who is petitioning, along with another daughter, to gain custody of the two girls. The girls' uncle, Shaquils Renger, said he was frantic when he heard the news. He, like so many others, had questions no on could answer. "Leave my kids with diapers? I never thought she would do something like that." The girls were tossed out in the midst of the Bay View Houses Sunday afternoon by their mother, who works as a security guard ...

Easy, Low-Cost DIY Costume Ideas for Halloween

Let's face it, not everyone can afford to spend a lot of money on elaborate Halloween costumes, especially if you're living on a fixed income. Likewise, not everyone can afford to spend a lot of time making them either, especially those without sewing abilities. Wouldn't it be nice if you could create your own costumes with little time or money invested? Well you can. In fact, there are numerous costume ideas that can be created yourself for next to nothing. Better still, there's little or no sewing involved. All you need is a little imagination and some creativity, something most of us already have tucked away somewhere inside us. And if for some reason you don't have it, I'm sure the kids do.

An interesting way to come up with ideas for costumes is to keep a trunk or box somewhere handy and fill it with miscellaneous items. This can help spark the imagination. For instance, load it up with old clothing, fabric of varying lengths, pantyhose, fashion accessories, artificial flowers, pipe cleaners and other craft supplies, aluminum foil, yarn, old sheets or curtains, etc. Nearly anything can be used. Instead of traditional Halloween bags for candy, use other items related to your costume and store them in the 'imagination box.' For example, you can implement items such as old pocketbooks, pillowcases, garbage bags, baskets, doctor's bags, small backpacks, or even diaper bags.

Ever since my kids were old enough to participate in trick-or-treating activities, I have made their costumes. Once Halloween approaches, I begin asking them what they would like to be. Then I scour the house and our box of goodies to find whatever I might already have on hand, making a list of the items with which I need. Generally, these few items can be purchased at the local thrift shop or dollar store so there usually isn't too much money invested in the project.

For safety reasons, I prefer to use make-up or face paint as opposed to masks. You can easily make your own out of food coloring and corn starch. This is not only safer than using masks, but it's also cheaper, easier to apply, and comes off just as easily with mild soap and water. A simple cream can be made with one part corn starch and two parts food coloring to create the desired shade for your costume. Apply to the face with your fingers just like foundation. And with a few drops of red food coloring and a little corn syrup, you have home-made blood for those ghoulish costumes.

One year my daughter went as a witch. It isn't as difficult as you might think to come up with creative ways of putting this outfit together. In fact, they can be as easy or difficult as you can handle. For the witch ensemble, I simply used a tattered black dress and a witch's hat my daughter already had. I mixed up some green face paint and added a wart with an eyeliner pencil. For her hair, I used some fiery, red-orange yarn that I attached to the hat with Velcro. Add a small broom and there you go.

Another year, she was a butterfly. The butterfly was fashioned together by cutting a pair of wings out of some cardboard, which I decorated with multi-colored pieces of felt (you can also use aluminum foil and decorate with sequins, glitter, etc.). The body of the butterfly consisted of nothing more than a black sweat suit; however, a dark-colored leotard should work just as well. Wings can be attached in whatever way is easiest for you. They can be sewn onto the back of the sweatshirt or fastened with elastic bands fitted around the child's arms. You could also try using Velcro for felt-covered wings. This not only sticks to the felt but to the shirt as well. Add an antennae headband and, if desired, some face paint. The headband can either be purchased from the dollar store for a couple bucks or put together yourself using an ordinary black headband with black pipe cleaners attached.

I transformed my son into a lively jack-in-the-box one year. This idea came about through my own childhood memories. My mother also made a lot of our costumes growing up. Aluminum foil would incredibly become a tiara, a wand, or antennas. Lacy curtains would suddenly become flowing gowns. Her creativity was amazing, and one costume in particular stood out above all others--a kitchen table. She had taken a simple cardboard box, cut out a hole in the bottom, and slipped it right over my head. After draping a tablecloth over the box, my protruding head became the centerpiece with a carefully placed 'hat' made from a pair of pantyhose and artificial flowers.

And from this kitchen table costume, another one was born--the jack-in-the-box. It uses the same 'box' concept and originality. I simply took a box, decorated it, and attached it to my son with suspenders (can use elastic as well). On one side of the box I fashioned a handle. He wore dark sweatpants and a regular long-sleeved shirt that I attached ruffles to. I painted his face to mimic that of a joker.

A few years back, my kids decided that they wanted their costumes to match. We looked around the house and soon enough found ourselves with a cowboy and an Indian. For the cowboy, my son donned a cowboy hat and boots, a western shirt, blue jeans and a denim jacket. All of which we already had. To accessorize the look, I tied (loosely) a red bandana around his neck and fastened the holster (complete with toy guns) around his waist. Once again, these were items that we already had on hand.

My daughter, of course, was the Indian. Her costume was also something we had just lying around. I took an old brown pillowcase and cut a v-neck hole in the bottom that was large enough for my daughter's head to fit through. I then cut two more holes in either side for her arms. I hand-stitched designs around both the neck line and bottom of the 'dress' and with a pair of scissors, I carefully cut slits along the edges to give it a frilly look. If you don't sew, that's ok; you can easily use fabric paint to decorate the dress instead. To set off the dress, my daughter wore braided pigtails with a feathered headband around her forehead. The only item I purchased for this was a pair of moccasin slippers from the dollar store. To hold all their candy, my son carried a pillowcase 'loot bag' while my daughter used an old harvest basket lined with an orange towel.

Ever had the option of dressing up for work with the most original taking first prize? This one worked for me. Once again, I borrowed the idea from my mother, giving it my own twist--a tomato plant. For this costume, I wore a dark green leotard with green hose and slippers. I found a dark green table skirt and simply cut out holes to allow me to both slip it over my head and run my arms through. I pinned some green artificial leaves onto the leotard and table skirt along with little tomatoes made from Styrofoam balls that were painted red and topped off with green stems (you can also use tomato pin cushions found in craft stores). I finished it off with a green beret full of leaves. By the way, I took the prize.

I have found balloons to be quite useful for costumes; however, they should only be applied to those of older children or adults. Once again, safety is important and balloons tend to pop easily and small children can accidentally try to eat the balloon pieces. Balloons are inexpensive and come in a wide variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. You can create one-of-a-kind costumes with hardly any work involved. Imagine a bunch of grapes (like that from Fruit-of-the-Loom). Choose a purple sweat suit or leotard and attach purple balloons carefully with small safety pins. Add some ivy vines and top it off with a matching hat full of ivy leaves. This could also be used for other berries as well with appropriate colored sweats and balloons. For instance, you could try raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries.

Then again, why not go out as Mr. Bubble? Wear white and use some white balloons to instantaneously become soap suds. Accessorize with a scrub brush and a hat or bag made up of bath materials such as sponges and empty shampoo, bubble bath, or soap containers. When you apply balloons to any costume, however, try not to put any on the backside. This could make it difficult to sit down.

Other interesting costume ideas might include a scarecrow using denim bib overalls, a plaid or flannel shirt, rope or twine for belt, a straw hat, gloves and boots. Stuff all the pockets with straw. Turn an old sheet into a ghost. Create a hobo from some old clothes and add a hat. Paint the face with a five o'clock shadow and fashion an old hankie to a stick. What's autumn without leaves? Use a dark-colored sweat suit (with hood) and pin silk leaves all over it. Walk around carrying a rake and gather candy in a leaf bag.

Remember, a little imagination can go a long way; and best of all, it's free to use.

What to Do When Your Dog Goes Into Heat

For proper dog care of a female dog you need to understand their heat cycles. A female dog usually goes into heat for the first time from 6 months to 24 months of age. It varies according to size and breed of dog. Smaller dogs usually get their first heat sooner than the larger dogs do. Usually the heat cycle last for about 18 to as many as 24 days.

Make note here that if you are going to have your female dog spayed, it is recommended that you have it done before she goes into heat the first time. But if you want her to breed than read on for more information on the signs of heat.

One of the first signs of heat is your dog's vulva will be swollen and start having a bloody discharge from it. In the first 7 days she can attract the male dogs, but she won't let them mount her at this time. But in the second week she may permit them to mount her.

This is when you need to watch your female very closely. If she is a dog that stays outside, then she needs to be behind a fence where no male dogs can get to her, unless of course you are breeding her to one particular male dog. You do not want random breeding with dogs that are unknown to you. This will insure the health of the puppies is good.

Make sure if you are breeding her to be sure she has good dog nutrition. She needs to be eating all the right food and getting the nutrients she needs to have healthy pups.

Back to your dog being in heat. If she is an indoor dog you may want to have her wear a dog diaper. You can find disposable diapers or the washable kind. This will prevent your female from dribbling blood throughout your house. Also make sure she cannot get out without being confined in a fence or on a leash so male suitors cannot get to her.

There a few ways a masking the scent of a female in heat from the male dogs. One simple way is apply some menthol around underneath of the dog's tail. Another way is to feed you female tablets that are chlorophyll. This needs to be discussed with a vet first though, so you know how much to give your dog.

Your female will go through heat approximately two times a year, with a period of time in between which is about 5 months to 8 months. This is if she does not get pregnant during one of the heat cycles. As your dog passes 7 years of age her heat cycles will be further apart. A female dog does not have the menopause that human females do.

It is always advised that you get your dog spayed unless you are going to breed her. This cuts down on the risk of her getting breast cancer for one thing. So consider this as you are thinking of what kind of dog care to give your dog. Also always give good dog nutrition to your animal during whatever stage of life they are in.

If you never had a dog before, just follow these steps and all be good. Make sure you have the proper Dog Supplies, and for proper nutrition so your dog will stay healthy and happy, the proper Dog Supplements [http://www.prouddoghealth.com/dog-supplements-vitamins].

Teens and Bed-Wetting - Dealing With Diapers and Plastic Pants

Being a teenager can be a stressful time in life. There's the pressure of fitting in, preparing to get into college, going to prom, learning to drive. Now imagine if you also had to tell someone of the opposite sex that you have to wear diapers and plastic pants because you still wet the bed?

Teenagers can be very cruel when it comes to people being different. I think it's important for teenagers to be able to talk to other people with similar problems. There are many online support groups for various health problems and teenagers suffering from bed-wetting should take advantage of the many online health resources.

You can also start an online support group if you want. Many older children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults deal with bed-wetting every night so there are a lot of people who would be interested if you do decide to start a bed-wetting support group. On a related note, if you don't personally feel like starting an online support group for teenagers suffering from bed-wetting you can do a Google search for incontinence support groups and forums. Bed-wetting is a very common problem so it shouldn't be difficult finding a person you can talk to about this issue. There are also organizations that specialize in disseminating information about incontinence. Two of the major organizations that deal with incontinence are the Simon Foundation for Continence and the National Association for Continence. These organizations should be able to provide you with information about support groups for incontinence.

I think it would help if teenage celebrities(as well as adult celebrities) started talking about subjects such as bed-wetting-it would make it less taboo.

Right now I'd like to talk about one teen's experience with wearing cloth diapers and plastic pants. This person felt extremely self-conscious about wearing the garments. There are several aspects that made him feel babyish-the bulk of the diapers between the legs, the safety pins, and the crinkling sounds of the plastic pants. I thought I'd talk a little bit about because it's possible that many teenagers have similar feelings regarding wearing diapers and plastic pants for bed-wetting. I believe in this particular case it's possible to see the glass as half full. For example instead of viewing these attributes in a negative manner one can see them in a positive way. Instead of viewing the bulk of the diapers as a bad thing a person could see them in a positive way-thicker diapers are more absorbent and therefore they provide better protection.

This in turn will make the wearer feel more comfortable and secure. As far as the plastic pants are concerned it should be stressed to the teen that some plastic pants and disposable diapers make a rustling sound. Although many people are self conscious about this crackling sound the teenager should be reassured that since the product is only worn at night this shouldn't be a concern. However if the child or teen is sharing a bedroom with another sibling they might have some misgivings about this. If they do share a room with another sibling the parents need to tell the sibling in no uncertain terms that if they make fun of the bed-wetting or diapers and plastic pants they'll be punished. Finally, as far as the pins are concerned, these should be viewed no differently than other methods of fastening clothing such as buttons, zippers,or snaps. I hope this helps other teenagers who might be feeling embarrassed about wearing the diapers and plastic pants at night.

I also think it's important to be able to confide in people about this problem-whether a family member or relative, a teacher, or friend. Sometimes talking to people helps a great deal. It's important to be able to gauge the depth and quality of a person's friendship. There are some people who are real compassionate and understanding. These people are very accepting of other people's problems and they're easy to confide in. If you feel you have friends of this nature and if you're having difficulty coming to terms with wearing diapers to bed then you might want to consider discussing this with them. It's important to remember one thing-there are plenty of people of all ages who wet the bed so the next time you're getting ready for bed and putting on your diapers and plastic pants keep this in mind!

I am a psychology major who writes about the stigma surrounding using diapers to manage bedwetting with older children, adolescents, and teenagers. The purpose for writing these articles are to alleviate the stigma of older children and teenagers wearing diapers for bedwetting, to make parents aware of the different types of cloth diapers, plastic pants, and disposable diapers available to manage the bedwetting, and to offer strategies a parent can use to motivate and encourage an older child, adolescent, or teenager who feels embarrassed and ashamed about wearing diapers for bedwetting. In addition I write about other topics in this area.

Pretty Woman Costume - 3 Different Looks for Miss Vivian

A Pretty Woman costume can be many different things; although the first option below is what most of us typically think of when we think of the movie Pretty woman. However, through the span of the film, Julia Roberts actually wore several different outfits that would make great costume. Below you will find 3 different looks for Miss Vivian.

1. Working Girl Costume: Of course we all remember our first glimpse of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman in her "working girl" costume, with the short blue tie-dyed skirt, attached halter and tall black thigh high boots. Vivian spent the first quarter of the movie dressed in this outfit before moving on to some much more sophisticated looks. A Pretty Woman costume like this can either be made yourself, or by looking online for something similar.

2. Black Cocktail Dress: Another great option if you want to dress like Vivian from the movie is to get your hands on a sleek black cocktail dress like the one she wore on her first "date" with Edward. This dress has a beautiful neck line and it can obviously be used for other things besides Halloween. You can usually find something similar to the one she wore and accessorize it anyway you like.

3. Red Opera Gown: If you really want to go all out, find a stunning red opera gown like she wore and accessorize it with white gloves. You probably won't be able to afford the ridiculously expensive necklace Edward let her wear, but you can find something similar that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. And let's face it, how often do we ladies get to get all dolled up in something so fancy? Halloween can be the perfect time!

Above we talked about a Pretty Woman costume and 3 different ways you can dress as the now famous working girl. Julia Roberts and Richard Gere made that movie what it was and it quickly became a favorite; one we would watch over and over again. If you want to dress as Miss Vivian this year for Halloween, the three options above will give you some different angles you can pursue. The Working Girl costume that made her famous is obviously the first choice for most, but you may want to also consider getting a black cocktail dress or red opera gown, any of these three will be a lot of fun to wear!

How to Find People With a Diaper Fetish

You want to know how to find people with a diaper fetish. There is a very simple system. It is usually possible to find partners in a matter of minutes who share this fetish with you.

diaperism (otherwise known as diaper fetishism) is, of course, a type of sexual fetish that involves a person getting a sexual charge from wearing a diaper. It should not be confused with infantilism; although, sometimes, the two paraphilias do coincide.

Strangely enough, you will not find any dating sites devoted to this fetish. I say strange because this is a type of fetishism that has a popular following. Until continued demand encourages someone to create such a dating community, I can offer you a rather simple, yet highly effective little system to find local diaper partners.

You need to get a membership at any large adult dating community. The good news is most such sites offer free accounts to new members. Once you have joined, you then need to include your diaper fetish in your profile, and then do a search for other people who have mentioned it, likewise, in their profiles - which is how to find people with a diaper fetish.

When you search for local women, for instance, most big dating sites will allow you to type in certain words. When the software conducts the search, it will show you profiles that contain these words, giving you a list, in this case, of people who share your fetish for wearing diapers.

Now that you know how to find people with a diaper fetish, I recommend looking here -------> Find Diaper Partners.

They are one of the most popular dating sites and you can use the method in my article on their site.

Women@Google: Leymah Gbowee in chat with Megan Smith

Leymah Gbowee was only 17 when the Second Liberian Civil War erupted. Years of fighting destroyed her country—and her hopes and dreams. As a young mother trapped in a nightmare of domestic abuse, she found the courage to turn her bitterness into action, realizing that it is women who suffer most during conflicts—and that the power of women working together can create an unstoppable force. Working as a social worker and trauma counselor during the war, she organized the Women of Liberian Mass Action for Peace, a multicultural and multi-religious group who prayed for peace, held nonviolent protests including a sex strike, and brought forth a promise from President Charles Taylor to attend peace talks in Ghana. This group was crucial in bringing an end to the civil war in 2003 followed by the election of Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf in Liberia, the first African nation with a female president. 7 Persuasive Reasons Why Men Should Shave Their Privates

Here are seven reasons why men should consider shaving their privates. No, I'm not talking about Privates in the Army, although a "soldier" at attention, with a shiny helmet and a loaded weapon, is definitely involved.

Most men worry obsessively about the hair on their heads but rarely give a second thought to their pubic hair. Only when the time is right with that special lady do men realize they should have spent some time grooming their privates. Guys, here are 7 compelling reasons why you should groom your pubic hair or even remove it completely.

1. Cleanliness. The crotch is a focal point for heat, sweat, and bacteria. Cropping or removing your pubic hair makes that area much easier to keep clean, and more importantly, smelling clean and manly. She's more likely to explore that area up close if it's well maintained.

2. Novelty. The contrast between your obviously adult-sized package and your new hairlessness can be quite erotic, and not just to you! Your lover may gush over the idea of making love to what now has the illusion of being forbidden fruit.

3. It's More Inviting. If you remove most or all of her objections to performing oral sex on you, isn't it worth the trouble? Pay special attention to removing stray hairs from your shaft. Hair in the mouth sucks, but she won't if she finds one.

4. Don't Forget The Scrotum. A woman's body is playground of softness and smoothness, so don't you think she'll appreciate the same on you? A silky smooth ball sack invites both manual and oral caresses. She's far more likely to play down there if she doesn't have to use a weed-whacker to find it.

5. It's Healthier. She'll see immediately that you have no skin outbreaks or unwanted "critters" to hide. Furthermore, you will have greater manual sensitivity when you perform your periodic testicular self-exam. You do examine yourself regularly, don't you? You should. The earlier you catch any problems, the easier they are to fix.

6. It's Fun To Let Her Do It! That's right, let her shave you! This is not only an exercise in trust, but a highly-suspenseful erotic thrill ride. The danger of an ultra sharp razor in such a sensitive area, the tension of long slow razor strokes, the aching of your pulse-pounding erection, and the foamy friction of her shaving-creamed hand on your shaft can intensify your pleasure like you never thought possible. Just don't make any sudden moves.

And most importantly (to some at least):

7. It Makes Your Erection Look Huge. I'm not kidding - you will swear that you gained at least an extra inch in length! If your crotch is not groomed regularly, you probably have pubic hair at least part way up your shaft. Your penis "appears" to begin where that pubic hair ends. Remove the underbrush and your hidden length will be revealed.

When you're grooming the hair on your "big head," don't forget about the hair on the "little head" too! Whether you do it to please yourself or a partner (or both), regular pubic hair grooming or even total pubic hair removal can spice up your love life. If you like it enough, consider permanent removal methods such as laser hair removal or electrolysis.

Note that some people experience moderate to intense itching the first few days after shaving as the pubic hair grows back. You might want your first grooming experience to be at the beginning of a weekend so you're not squirming in your office chair all day Monday! The itching should decrease or stop if you continue to groom yourself regularly.

And if the guys in the gym locker room make fun of you, first ask them why they are checking out your package. In the embarrassed silence that follows, tell them why you did it, that you're having twice as much sex as they are, and what she's doing now that she wouldn't do before! Then get ready to answer their questions.
